10th International Dance Competition "Nijinsky" Rome 2000

  It was a great honour for the Professional Ballet School of Larissa and its town and country for the high distinction that won Ioanna Lagou and Vassiliki Soultouki at the 10th International Dance Competition "Nijinsky" in Rome on the 5-10th July.
Ioanna Lagou received the silver medal and Vassiliki Soultouki the bronze medal.
Dancers from all over the world took part in this competition including countries with great tradition in the classical repertoire (e.g. Russia, America, Germany and Brazil) which magnifies their distinction even more.

Vassiliki Soultouki

Ioanna Lagou interpreted a variation from "Grand Pas Classique", Vassiliki Soultouki a variation from "Corsaire".

Both dancers are students of the Professional Ballet School. Their teacher is Gesh Mihov. Nicky Sveltou accompanied the girls to Italy, who is also a teacher at the School.

The prizes were given at the famous "Plavio Vespasiano", theatre were also a gala took place with the winners of last years competitions.
