GESH MIHOV

He was born in Bulgaria.

He studied classical dance in the State School of Dancing Art of Sofia with the great teachers, Baltacheeva and Balabina. He then graduated from the Supreme Music Academy of Sofia. In Switzerland he was further educated in modern dance and in jazz with the teachers Alain Bernard and Misha Bergeze.

In the Ballet Arabesque of Sofia he acted as a first soloist. He collaborated with recognised choreographers such Alain Bernard, Alberto Alonso, Tziveski, Nemetsek, Loukler and many more (classical, neoclassical, and modern repertoire).
He participated in the International Dance Competition of Varna and in the International Dance Competition of Moscow. In the Dance Competition of Stara Zagora he won the award for best interpretation of men's role.

In 1983, he began his teaching career in Thessaloniki in Dance School of Aspa Foutsi. Then, he went to Athens where he taught in the Supreme Professional School of Despina Grigoriadou (1984) and in the State School of Dancing Art (1988-1990). Since 1990 he is the Artistic Director of the Municipal Ballet School of Larissa .

He teaches in the Higher Professional School of Dance of D.E.T.PO.L since 1997. In 1997 he created the Thessalian Ballet. His own choreographies are:
" Paquita" (1993-1994)
" Giselle" (1995)
" Bolero" (1995)
" FORTUNA" (1996, 1997)
" AVENIR" (2000) and any more.

He has also made adaptations and has staged a lot of extracts from the classical repertoire.
